Powerful touch therapy for body and mind
Managing stress is essential today
~ for prevention, for healing, for enjoyment of life.
If tension, irritation, chronic pain or discomfort has become normal
~ or if you'd just like to feel even better ~
integrating your vital energy and physical structure can help.
It's a reboot for body and mind ~
and you're worth it!
Zero Balancing (ZB) is a type of manual therapy that allows the body and mind to release deeply held tension, so you feel more comfortable, grounded and clear. It can help you let go of obstacles to health and vitality, including old injuries or trauma, and is a great way to relieve pain and restore a sense of mental and physical balance.
In a session, you lie on your back, fully clothed, while the practitioner applies gentle, firm pressure to different areas of the body, primarily on surfaces of bones and joints. There are no sudden movements and touch should feel good. Appointments are one hour with about 40 minutes on the table.
Holistic in scope, our focus is on what can work in your life to support optimal wellness. Topics can include self-care and mindfulness practices, nutrition and herbal support, or referrals as needed. Relaxed and conversational, emphasis is on empowering you with awareness, resources and skills to make your 'normal' better!
Thanks for visiting my website. I have been studying and practicing Zero Balancing (ZB) since 2008 - and involved in alternative healthcare much longer than that.
Professionally, I am a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) with certifications in Zero Balancing, Reiki, and herbal medicine. My career has also included work with insurance, political and educational organizations related to alternative healthcare.
I've long been interested in how body, mind and emotions interact to impact health and vitality - and Zero Balancing supports all three. When I first experienced ZB, not only was I deeply relaxed physically, but my mind was much quieter. I began studying and practicing ZB soon after.
On a personal note, I am a student of Taiji, an occasional scuba diver and social dancer, and an enthusiastic volunteer at the Save A Forgotten Equine horse rescue - pictured here with my good friend, Veronica.
